Key Takeaways

  • Seven purpose-built templates guide the AI to generate content optimized for specific goals like brand promotion, AI citations, buyer decisions, or local SEO
  • Expert settings let you fine-tune tone, depth, format, and promotional level for every piece of content
  • Custom context fields allow you to inject brand voice, key terms, or exclusions into the generation process

What Are Content Templates?

Content templates are pre-configured generation modes that tell the AI what kind of page to create. Each template is designed for a specific content goal - whether you want to rank as a direct answer in AI chatbots, create a comparison page for buyer decisions, or build local SEO authority.

When you select a template, it automatically configures the expert settings (tone, depth, format, and more) to match that content type. You can always override individual settings if needed.

Available Templates

Ayzeo offers seven templates, each optimized for a different content strategy. Select the one that best matches your goal when creating a new content page.

Brand Promotion Original Template

This is the original Ayzeo content template that existing users are already familiar with. It creates well-rounded, brand-forward content with a promotional tone, standard depth, and a conversion-oriented structure. If you used the content page generator before the template feature was introduced, this is the same generation mode you know.

Best for: Product/service pages, brand landing pages, general marketing content

AI Answer Target Page

Structured to directly answer questions that AI assistants surface as citations or zero-click results. Uses a factual tone with concise depth - ideal for getting your page cited by ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and other AI chatbots.

Best for: FAQ-style queries, definition searches, "what is" questions

Comparison / Buyer Decision

Side-by-side evaluation content for "X vs Y" queries and purchase decision support. Uses a consultative tone with balanced promotional level - perfect for capturing users in the decision stage of the buyer journey.

Best for: "X vs Y" queries, product comparisons, buying guides

Problem-Solution Use Case

Addresses a specific problem with a clear solution. Uses a direct tone focused on education - best for "how to" queries, implementation guides, and troubleshooting content.

Best for: "How to" queries, tutorials, implementation guides

Executive / Strategic Brief

High-level content for decision-makers. Focuses on business impact rather than technical detail. Uses a factual tone with concise prose format - great for C-suite audiences and strategic overviews.

Best for: Industry overviews, business case pages, executive summaries

Local SEO / GEO Page

Location-specific content optimized for local search. Uses a consultative tone with rich multimedia density - ideal for businesses targeting a specific city, region, or service area.

Best for: City/region landing pages, "near me" queries, local service pages

Educational Authority Page

In-depth content that builds topical authority. Uses a factual tone with comprehensive depth and rich multimedia - ideal for awareness-stage audiences and establishing your brand as a thought leader.

Best for: "What is" queries, pillar content, educational resources

Expert Settings

Each template comes with pre-configured expert settings that are automatically applied when you select it. You can expand the "Expert Settings" section on the content creation page to view and override any of these values before generating.

Setting Options What It Controls
Tone Factual, Consultative, Direct, Promotional The writing voice and style of the generated content
Depth Concise, Standard, Comprehensive How thoroughly each topic is covered - from brief overviews to deep dives
Format Prose, Bullet, FAQ, Mixed The structural layout - long-form text, bullet lists, question-answer pairs, or a blend
Primary Goal Visibility, Education, Conversion Whether the content prioritizes AI citation, teaching, or driving action
Promotional Level Informational, Balanced, Promotional How much the content promotes your brand vs. staying neutral
Multimedia Density None, Light, Medium, Rich How many image/video placeholders and structured elements are included

Tip: You don't need to change expert settings for most use cases. The template defaults are carefully tuned for their specific content type. Override individual settings only when you have a specific reason to deviate.

Custom Context

Custom context lets you inject specific instructions into the content generation process. There are two fields, each supporting up to 10,000 characters.

Include Context

Information the AI should weave into the content. Use this for:

  • Brand voice and messaging guidelines
  • Key terms, product names, or data points
  • Specific CTAs or internal links to include
  • Compliance or regulatory notes
Exclude Context

Information the AI should avoid in the generated content. Use this for:

  • Competitor names you don't want mentioned
  • Outdated terms or deprecated product features
  • Topics that are off-limits for your brand
  • Claims or statistics you cannot verify

How to Create a Content Page

There are two ways to start creating a content page:

Recommended: Start from an AI Query

For best results, first run an AI Query for your topic. On the AI Query result page, click the "Create Content Page" button. This automatically pre-fills the search query, region, and search results into the content page form. The advantage is that you can review the current search landscape before generating, helping you make better template and context decisions.

Alternative: You can also create a content page directly from the Content Pages section by clicking "New Content Page" and entering your query manually.

Once you're on the content page form (via either method):

1
Enter or Confirm Your Search Query

Type the topic or question you want the content to target. If you started from an AI Query or an AI Visibility Report, the query and search results are already pre-filled for you.

2
Select a Template

Choose from the seven templates based on your content goal. The template determines the overall structure and default expert settings. This step is required before generating.

3
Optionally Adjust Settings & Context

Expand "Expert Settings" to override individual parameters, or use the custom context fields to add brand-specific instructions. Both are optional.

4
Generate & Review

Click "Generate Content Page" and wait for the AI to create your content. Generation typically takes 30 seconds to 2 minutes. You'll receive the content markdown, SEO HTML elements, and AI optimization advice.

Choosing the Right Template

Not sure which template to use? Here's a quick decision guide based on your content goal:

If You Want To... Use This Template
Create brand-forward marketing or product pages Brand Promotion
Get cited by AI chatbots as a direct answer AI Answer Target Page
Win "X vs Y" or product comparison queries Comparison / Buyer Decision

Content Enhancement

In addition to generating new content from scratch, Ayzeo can also enhance existing content. The enhancement feature (available on paid plans) takes a URL from your domain or manually pasted content and rewrites it for better AI visibility and SEO performance.

Enhancement vs. Generation: Use "Generate" when creating new content for a topic. Use "Enhance" when you already have a published page that needs optimization for AI discoverability. Learn more in our Multi-Modal Content Guide.

What Every Generated Page Includes

Regardless of which template you choose, every generated content page delivers three outputs:

Content Markdown

The main page content with headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, and multimedia placeholders. Copy this into your CMS or website builder.

SEO HTML Elements

Ready-to-use meta tags, Open Graph markup, Twitter cards, and JSON-LD structured data for the generated content.

AI Optimization Advice

Personalized recommendations for further improving the page's AI visibility, including suggestions for images, videos, and internal links to add.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change the template after generating?

No, the template is applied during generation and cannot be changed afterward. However, you can create a new content page with a different template for the same query at any time.

How many content pages can I generate per day?

Each project has a daily limit of 5 content page generations and 5 content enhancements. These limits reset daily.

What happens if the generation fails or returns incomplete results?

Ayzeo automatically retries the generation if the response is incomplete. If the main content is generated but supplementary elements (SEO HTML or AI advice) are missing, the page is still saved with default placeholders so you never lose the core content.

Can I use custom context without changing expert settings?

Yes. Custom context and expert settings are independent. You can use one, both, or neither. Custom context adds specific instructions on top of whatever template and settings you've selected.

Is the WordPress plugin compatible with templates?

Yes. The WordPress plugin API supports all seven templates and expert settings. If no template is specified via the API, it defaults to "AI Answer Target Page."
