Now live on WordPress.org, version 1.2.1

The GEO plugin for WordPress that measures.

Run a local Site Audit with the same rulebook as the Ayzeo platform, submit new and updated URLs through IndexNow for Bing and ChatGPT, set an AI crawler policy, publish llms.txt, and on Pro open the GEO dashboard inside WordPress.

Works without an account

Install the plugin and everything below runs on a plain WordPress site. No Ayzeo login, no AI service in the loop.

New in 1.2

Site Audit, run on your own server

The audit picks your most important pages and checks them against the same rulebook the Ayzeo platform uses: titles and meta descriptions, heading structure, canonicals, structured data, Open Graph, author attribution, content freshness, image alt coverage, mixed content and render blocking. Every check is a plain algorithm running in PHP on your own server, with no AI service involved. Run it on demand, or once a week.

New in 1.2

Fixes you can preview and revert

Where a check fails, the page report offers the fix. JSON-LD is generated from your own WordPress content. Meta description and Open Graph fallbacks only output when no SEO plugin provides them. An alt text helper covers your images. Every fix is previewed before it is applied, and can be reverted afterwards.

New in 1.2

IndexNow for Bing and ChatGPT

Switch IndexNow on and the plugin submits new, updated and removed URLs. It generates and serves the key file for you, and runs submissions through a background queue with retries and a log of every result. If Yoast Premium, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress or Microsoft's IndexNow plugin already submits, Ayzeo stays off, so there are never two keys.

New in 1.2

AI crawler policy and llms.txt

One setting writes an explicit robots.txt policy for the 18 AI crawlers the plugin tracks, grouped into search, assistants and training. If your site serves a physical robots.txt file, the plugin shows you the exact block to paste instead of editing the file behind your back. The llms.txt editor has a live preview and serves the file at /llms.txt.

Connect an Ayzeo project

Paste an API token and the plugin adds the parts that need the platform.

Deep scans with AI checks

A deep scan adds AI specific checks and comes back with suggested meta tags, JSON-LD and llms.txt content you can apply. It runs in the background.

AI visibility queries

Ask a question the way a customer would, then read how the engine answers it and which sources it considered.

Content pages

Content written for AI answers is published straight into WordPress, as a draft by default.

GEO dashboard, on Pro

Visibility share, mention rate, citation rate and average mention position, each with the change against the previous seven days once there is enough data. Plus sentiment, a trend chart over 7, 30 or 90 days, competitors with their logos, your top prompts, and a WordPress dashboard widget.

Any paid Ayzeo plan (trial included) unlocks deep scans, AI queries and content pages; the GEO dashboard needs Pro or Enterprise.

Plays nicely with your SEO plugin

Ayzeo covers the GEO layer. Your SEO plugin keeps doing what it does.

  • Yoast
  • Rank Math
  • All in One SEO
  • SEOPress

The plugin detects them and steps back.

Fallback meta tags only output when no SEO plugin provides them.

Suggested titles and descriptions write into the SEO plugin's own fields.

If one of them already submits to IndexNow, the plugin stays off, so there are never two keys.

How it works

1

Install from the directory

Plugins, Add New, search for Ayzeo, then activate. Or upload the ZIP from this page.

2

Run the first audit and switch on IndexNow

Open Ayzeo, Site Audit and run it, then open Indexing and Crawlers. No account needed for either.

3

Connect a project for AI visibility tracking

Optional. Generate an API token in your Ayzeo project settings under API tokens, then paste it under Ayzeo, Settings.

For agencies

One project per client, one token per site

Your plan runs on every site you manage. Each client gets their own project and their own API token, and the local audit and indexing tools work on any number of sites without an account.

I've been using Ayzeo to boost my visibility in the generative AI space, and the results have been impressive so far. It saves me a lot of time by showing exactly what to improve and helps me gain traction across AI platforms. Visibility on AI platforms is everything nowadays, and any business that doesn't want to be left behind should take that very seriously.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an Ayzeo account to use the plugin?

Not for the Site Audit, the one-click fixes, IndexNow, the AI crawler robots.txt policy or llms.txt. Those work on a plain WordPress install with no account and no AI service involved. An Ayzeo project adds deep scans with AI checks, AI visibility queries and content generation, and a Pro or Enterprise plan adds the GEO dashboard inside WordPress.

How do I install the Ayzeo WordPress plugin?

Install it from the WordPress plugin directory (Plugins, Add New, search for Ayzeo) or upload the ZIP from this page, then activate it. Open Ayzeo, Site Audit and run your first audit; no account is needed for that. To connect a project, paste an API token from your Ayzeo project settings under Ayzeo, Settings. The whole setup takes under five minutes.

Where do I get my API token?

API tokens are generated in your Ayzeo project settings under the API Tokens tab. Each token is tied to a specific project and validated against your domain, so only your WordPress site can access your project data.

Does the plugin submit pages to Bing via IndexNow?

Yes. Switch IndexNow on and the plugin submits every new and updated URL automatically, and tells the engines when a URL is unpublished or deleted. It generates the key, serves the key file, batches submissions in the background and logs the result of each one in plain language. IndexNow reaches Bing, Yandex, Seznam, Naver and Yep, and ChatGPT search reads Bing. Google does not participate in IndexNow.

Is Ayzeo compatible with Yoast, Rank Math, All in One SEO or SEOPress?

Yes. Ayzeo detects them and steps back. If one of them already submits to IndexNow, Ayzeo shows a notice and stays off so you never end up with two keys. Meta description and Open Graph fallbacks only output when no SEO plugin provides them, and applying a suggested title or description writes into your SEO plugin's own fields. Ayzeo covers the GEO and AI visibility layer; your SEO plugin keeps doing what it does.

Will the audit slow down my site?

No. The audit runs in the background, on demand or once a week if you switch the weekly audit on, and fetches your pages the same way any visitor would. Nothing is added to your front end except the llms.txt endpoint, the IndexNow key file, the AI crawler policy in robots.txt and any structured data or meta tags you explicitly asked Ayzeo to output.

Which AI engines are tracked?

ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok and DeepSeek. Which engines a project tracks depends on its plan and settings on ayzeo.com.

What WordPress and PHP versions are required?

WordPress 6.5 or higher and PHP 7.4 or higher. Version 1.2 is tested up to WordPress 7.1 and ships with a German translation.

Is the plugin free?

The plugin is free, and the local features (Site Audit, fixes, IndexNow, AI crawler policy, llms.txt) stay free on any number of sites. The connected features need an Ayzeo project on a free trial or a paid plan, and the GEO dashboard inside WordPress needs a Pro or Enterprise plan.

What is the difference between GEO and traditional SEO?

Traditional SEO optimizes for search engine rankings on Google, Bing and similar platforms. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) optimizes your content to be cited, referenced and recommended by AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Both matter: SEO drives organic search traffic, while GEO drives AI-referred traffic, which is growing fast and becoming a meaningful share of user acquisition.
